The body is an amazing, self-contained
machine. It knows how to heal, balance and maintain itself despite
all the stress it puts up with. The body continues to function in
spite of disease processes, malnutrition and drought — until it just
breaks down completely. Alternative science has known for a long
time about the value of water in healing disease. There are many
intriguing studies — from the famous Dr. Emoto to the healing waters
of Lourdes. Research scientists have identified different types of
water. Google ‘healing water’ on the Internet and you’ll find many
testimonials about water treatments that have helped or cured almost
every disease.
Because water is so common, many people don’t understand its power.
When you first discover water, and start drinking large amounts, you
will immediately feel better, stronger, more energized and happy.
Depression will flee and your thinking will become clear. Maybe
someone turned you onto alkaline water, MRET water technology, or
zero point energy water. You start on the water program and become
really hydrated — maybe for the first time in your life. Thus, you
think it is the magic water.
The truth is that most people are simply dehydrated. It is estimated
that 85% of the population experience regular periods of dehydration
or are chronically dehydrated. When suddenly hydrated after a
lifetime of drought, the body and brain become happy. Although many
types of purified, altered waters are very good, curing the
dehydration is what helps create the amazing results.
Water is a vital conductor of energy and electricity. Your cells and
nerves, your meridian and chakra energy systems — all need water to
function correctly. Dehydration weakens the body by weakening these
systems. An increase in water increases function.
Unfortunately, we were never taught the importance of water and our
parents didn’t make us drink it regularity. So we never developed
the habit. Because of the growing pollution on the planet, everyone
should drink purified water, especially children. Anchorage city
water is “purified” with chemicals. If you drink that water, you are
drinking chemicals — fluoride and chlorine, and possibly heavy
metals reputed to cause cancer. If you can’t invest in a water
purifier, a small filtering systems will be almost as effective.
Don’t drink distilled or reverse osmosis waters on a regular basis,
however, as it has minerals removed. Your body needs those minerals
or it will deplete its reserves.
No Water, No Life
Water is the basis of all life. We can’t live without it. Your
muscles are 75% water and your bones are 25% water. Human blood
transports nutrients to the entire body and is 82% water. Amazingly,
our lungs are 90% water. Lung dehydration is considered a
significant factor in respiratory diseases. (You can stop an asthma
attack with two glasses of water and a pinch of sea salt.) Without
water to carry it to our cells, oxygen is useless.
Every system in your body is dependent on water for optimum
efficiency. Without water the liver can’t metabolize fat, nutrition
can’t get into the cell and waste products can’t get out.
Dehydration has a dramatic effect on sugar metabolism and has been
linked to diabetes.
Weight Loss & Detox
When on a weight loss program, you get faster results by drinking as
much pure water as you can. An overweight body is a toxic body.
There is a lot of unnecessary stuff stored in those fat cells. As
people let go of weight, the garbage needs to go, too. If you are
not drinking a lot of pure water, you can easily become toxic and
tired. Additionally, the will power part of the brain can’t operate
when it is dehydrated. When motivation goes, so does the program.
Without lots of water you could be setting yourself up for failure.
Pure natural water is the best remedy for appetite control.
Without water, the body can’t detoxify. Water profoundly effects the
movement of lymph through the body. When no water is available, the
lymph system can clog up and malfunction. We need water to cleanse
our cells. What happens to your house if you don’t clean it for
months at a time? The only difference between your body and house is
that your body can clean itself — if it has enough water.
Water for Anti-Aging
Acidity and free radicals age the body and create disease.
Dehydration is a significant producer of free radicals in your body,
and effective hydration removes free radicals faster than most any
other therapy. A fully hydrated body can reduce your need for
antioxidant supplements. Adequate water cleans acid from the body.
As a result, your body will stop leaching calcium and magnesium from
your bones to buffer the acid. As your whole body functions better,
the aging process is slowed considerably.
Depression/Memory/Brain Problems
Your brain controls your body; it is 76% water. Depression, learning
defects, and other brain problems are linked to dehydration. A new
study points to the fact that some cases of autism and ADHD might
have been prevented if pregnant mothers were drinking enough water
while their infant’s brain was developing. These children improve
rapidly when they drink enough water. How much is enough? Half the
body’s weight in ounces every day.
Depression is the state of a malfunctioning brain that can only see
the negative. Many parts of your brain draw much of their energy
from water. Memory is a good example. If your short-term memory is
not hydrated, it is not efficient. You often can’t seem to remember
what you walked into a room to do. Nerve transmission (the body’s
communication system) is heavily dependent upon water. Without
water, your brain’s communication with the body is impaired. When
your body is dehydrated, chemical production slows down, happy
hormones are not produced and depression as well as other brain
malfunction can result or get worse.
Are You Dehydrated?
If you are thirsty, it means your cells are already dehydrated. A
dry mouth is the last outward sign of dehydration. That’s because
thirst does not develop until body fluids are depleted well below
levels required for optimal functioning. If you are living off the
water in food only, body signals can become distorted or not present
at all. You may not know when you are thirsty.
You can monitor your urine to make sure you are not dehydrated. A
hydrated body produces clear, colorless urine. A somewhat dehydrated
body produces yellow urine. A severely dehydrated body produces
orange or dark-colored urine that could have an unpleasant odor.
Here’s to Healthy Hydration!
Our health is truly dependent on the quality and quantity of the
water we drink. If you are committed to a healthy lifestyle, develop
a lifetime habit: drink half your body weight in ounces of pure
natural water every day.
It won't take long for you to feel the benefit. You will also notice
you don’t feel good when you become dehydrated. So get back on
course and drink water. Put signs up to remind yourself: Drink
Water!
Sodas and soft drinks, coffee and some teas can have a diuretic
effect on the body. The acidity of these beverages also puts a
tremendous stress on the body. Additionally, they do not hydrate
you. This means you are losing water and salt you can’t afford to
lose by consuming them. Water is especially important for the
developing brains and bones of children — so keep soft drinks, soda,
and coffee away from them.
If you get light headed from drinking too much water, or are an
athlete who drinks large quantities of water, you need to put a
pinch of sea salt on your tongue now and again. You are probably
sodium deficient. Much of the water in the body is a saline
solution, containing salt and other minerals. Contrary to popular
belief, more people are sodium deficient than have too much sodium.
Regular table salt is bleached and purified (the minerals are
removed), so it is not good for you. Sodium needs other minerals for
effective processing in the body. If you can’t metabolize it, you
can’t use it and then it becomes toxic. Sea salt is your best bet.
No matter how you look at it, drinking plenty of pure water and
keeping your body hydrated is the best thing you can do for optimal
health, anti-aging and disease prevention.
