Playing the Numbers Game |
If we do not know who we are, we will most likely become what the people in our lives (parents, friends, mates, work associates) want or need us to be. This was me for a long period of my life! My parents thanked me for never giving them any worry, and said I had "always been everything they wanted me to be." I took that as a major compliment, until the day I heard Sammy Davis' song, "I've Got to be Me," and suddenly I realized, I was not me. This realization prompted my search for the real me. It was through in-depth studies of Astrology and Numerology that I finally knew who I was, why I was here, and what I was supposed to be doing in this lifetime. What did I find? I am a "9/5" – an often crazy, fun-loving, humanitarian! You are unique! There will never be another YOU! A natal horoscope is not repeated for 25,000 years, because the planets all move at different speeds around our Sun. It is highly unlikely that two people would ever be born on the same date, in the same place, and be given the identically spelled name. An Astrologer needs your date, time, and place of birth. A Numerologist needs only your birth certificate full name and birth date to tell who you are, what you have to work with and much, much more. Why Am I Here? A person's Life Path or Destiny Number, which is the sum total of your birth date numbers, answers this question. Within the number is the knowledge of what life is all about, what lessons you have to learn and conquer, and what karma you want to complete. The correct way to add your birth date numbers is in a column, and then add and reduce the total to a single digit. For example:
*Note that when the total is over 2000, the 2 is kept separate. Add the other numbers together and then add the 2. Many persons born in the late 20th Century and the 21st Century will have Master Number Life Paths (11, 22, 33, etc.), which are never reduced to a single digit. Numbers have positive and negative possibilities as well as a Keyword (shown in italics below). An enlightened soul will try to fulfill all the positives of the Path. Life Path Numbers One: Attainment. Positive: You are the 'starters.' Action, progress, self-confidence, pride are important. Twenty Two: Builder. Positive: This master number is the ultimate number. You have super intelligence with a universal outlook that finds you involved in immense projects to benefit humanity. You are the master builder or master teacher. Negative: If you find the 22 too demanding, you may resort to the 4 Life Path of mundane hard work. You must not lose your ideals or mix in black arts. The 22 can be famous or infamous. Numerology is a profound and fascinating science. There are many more numbers that help you understand yourself. For example, the Expression Number (derived from the total value of the letters in your birth name) is the sum total of what you have to work with in this lifetime. It contains all the positives and negatives of your individuality and should always be considered when deciding what kind of work you will do. Numbers are also used in forecasting the future. I encourage you to play with your numbers. Two people with the same Life Path and/or Expression Number are often pulled together like magnets. Get out your calculator. Find your numbers and the numbers of your mates, children, friends, parents, boss, or whomever. You may be amazed at what the numbers reveal!
