An Event of Major Importance:
The Harmonic Concordance of November 8, 2003

by Glenn Key

Mayan calendars, Native American elders and learned wise
men have spoken of this coming event.

During August 1999, I was contemplating relocation and had planned an exploratory trip to Anchorage from Tennessee. Everyone I knew in the Astrology community was concerned about the solar eclipse of August 11, 1999, when not only the Sun and Moon but Mars and Saturn opposed each other, all in fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio), cumulatively forming an astrological Grand Cross (2 oppositions, 4 squares).

My first Astrology teacher said a Grand Cross in a person’s chart could mean “total wipeout.” In gentler terminology, it could indicate a very challenging life. Looking at the August Solar Eclipse with a fixed Grand Cross, I was concerned that this could mean all kinds of challenges: war, terrorism, earthquakes, floods, stock market crash, death of famous people – in short, anything not pleasant.

There is a very important relationship of that chart with the total lunar eclipse of November 8, 2003. The Sun/Moon opposition is at the same degree (16) as the Mars/Saturn opposition in the 1999 solar eclipse, and in the same signs – Scorpio and Taurus. It would seem that the events of November 8, 2003, named The Harmonic Concordance, are a fulfillment of what was begun in August 1999.

Mayan calendars, Native American elders and learned wise men have spoken of this coming event. Roweena Red Tail Hawk Mother, the Speaker and prophet of the Hopi said, “The door of the world of spirit will open, and it will be up to us whether we call upon the Great Shining Ones to help us or the Dark Ones from the pit who bring us destruction.” Sean David Morton in the Delphi Associates Newsletter, June 2002, says that we need “a good dose of hardcore meta-physics.” Morton feels the teachings of the wise ones show us “that not only is there an Infinite Radiant Creator but that the all powerful IS has a fantastic cosmic plan for all of humanity and the plan is slowly weaving itself above our very worried, bowed and unconscious heads.”

During August of 1987, many of my metaphysical friends journeyed to Machu Picchu, Peru, to be a part of The Harmonic Convergence. Researcher and author Jose Arguilles had found a Mayan prophecy stating that if 144,000 people came together at that time, they would “greet the dawn in peace, harmony, prayer, meditation and love.” Millions world-wide gathered and began practicing the art of peace.

At her website (www.1spirit.com/eraofpeace), Patricia Diane Cota-Robles states that “for an instant, Heaven and Earth became One. Through the unified efforts of the entire company of heaven and light workers all over the world, the Crystal Grid System of Light for Planet Earth was activated, and all life evolving here ascended in energy vibration and consciousness to our next level of Divine Service.” Cota-Robles believes that old patterns of imperfection are being pushed forward to be transmuted and healed. Indeed, the work of enlightened people has greatly increased since the events of August 1987.

It has been seventeen years since The Harmonic Convergence, and The Harmonic Concordance is now upon us. The Concordance will be about choices that we make and about the paths we will choose. Sean David Morton believes our choices will determine the path for our planet: peace, brotherhood, harmony or extinction of most of the life on our planet within the next 50 years.

What Is The Harmonic Concordance?

John Mirehiel, an astrologer in southern California, discovered the rare planetary alignment for November 8, 2003, several years ago and named it The Harmonic Concordance. He calculated the chart using computer software and Chiron as a planet. The total eclipse occurs at 7:12:41 p.m. (EST), or 4:12:41 p.m. (AST). A lunar eclipse carries with it the beginning of or fruition of an important issue begun earlier. Mirehiel believes this event could “mark one of those milestone events… This chart is the most elegant chart I have ever seen.” But why?

When Chiron is added to the traditional planets, the chart of the lunar eclipse of November 8 forms two interlocking inverted Grand Trines, often called a Star of David configuration. Trines (signifying gifts, ease of accomplishment) are aspects of harmony, but contained within the interlocking grand trines are three oppositions (tugs-of-war). These are where “concordance” represents challenge to the achievement of harmony. Added to that, four out of the six points of this six-pointed star are receiving squares (challenges) from other planets. Most astrologers believe that the benefic interconnectedness of the planets allows them to get around the normal obstacles of the oppositions and ease the stress of the squares.

The two Grand Trines are sextile (60 degrees apart) to each other, thus forming a Grand Sextile. A sextile is an aspect of opportunity combining the compatible aspects so that each planet can support the challenges with a strong flow of energy.

Mirehiel believes The Harmonic Concordance chart provides the astrological signature of the Ascension of Mother Earth, and for all of her inhabitants who are able to comprehend and accept such a possibility. In other words, the Concordance stands as an elegant and inviting image of what we already are: ascended co-creators; children of the Mother/Father called to experience in this physical reality, one of the greatest fields of Creation imaginable.

What Does The Harmonic Concordance Mean To Us?

There is another goal to get 144,000 enlightened souls to gather on November 8th, 9th, and 10th with a finale on November 11, 2003. See John Mirehiel’s website (http://www.astrosite.com/) for planned celebrations around the world. He and his wife will be at the Giza Pyramids in Egypt. Another gathering is a pilgrimage to Australia with Patricia Diane Cota-Robles. Other celebrations are scheduled closer to Alaska. The Harmonic Concordance can be a time for us to release patterns that are no longer necessary in our lives and choose different ways. Sean David Morton believes it will be a transforming time for the secretive sign, Scorpio, with its three symbols: the self-destructive scorpion, the grey lizard and the eagle. Morton feels that Scorpio will become the phoenix, showing us how to rise above the ashes, start over and transmute the energy around us.

In his book, The Seat of the Soul, philosopher and scientist Gary Zukav attributes a change in consciousness to the astrological cycles. This important astrological event can help us learn to live in love and not fear. These two emotions cannot co-exist. What will we choose? We can become a part of history in attuning with millions of other light-seekers to birth a great spiritual revolution on November 8, 2003.
